Freddy Saavedra is the founder of Saavedra Law Firm, PLC, and serves as our board President. With a top Martindale-Hubbell AV Preeminent rating, he’s known for his strong leadership and personal injury law expertise in Arizona. His achievements include being a 2019 Super Lawyers Rising Star and an American Bar Foundation Fellow. As President, Freddy is steering our organization towards new accomplishments, focusing on practical outcomes and community betterment.





Adriana Genco

Vice President

Adriana Genco, Vice President and Deputy County Attorney at MCAO, thrives on the complexity of prosecution, championing fair and equal justice. Her passion lies in upholding the law, giving voice to crime victims, and serving the community. With a commitment to mentorship and a deep understanding of the community's needs, Adriana's work extends beyond the courtroom. As a first-generation Latina immigrant, she emphasizes the importance of representation and accessibility in the legal system, making a significant impact on those she serves.



Kristian Garibay

Treasurer

Kristian serves as Treasurer and is a managing associate in the White Collar and Government Investigations practice, focusing on compliance, government, internal investigations, and white collar criminal defense. Her experience includes clerking for the Hon. Stephen M. McNamee and roles in both the US Attorney’s and Pima County Public Defender’s Offices. Kristian's background spans a wide range of legal challenges, from defamation suits to federal and state law violations, showcasing her comprehensive legal expertise and dedication to justice.



Irania Fimbres-Ruiz

Secretary

Ms. Fimbres-Ruiz, serving as Treasurer, hails from San Luis, Arizona. A University of Arizona Juris Doctor graduate, she excelled in both written and oral advocacy, backed by a Dean’s Achievement Scholarship. Her legal acumen is complemented by fluency in Spanish. Her practical experience includes an externship with the Honorable Cindy K. Jorgenson and internships in Marana's legal department, along with significant contributions as articles editor for the Arizona Law Review and work in the Workers’ Rights Clinic.





Arturo Gonzalez

Communications Chair

As the Communications Chair, Arturo leverages his legal acumen in wrongful death, catastrophic injury, and products liability at Chapa Law Group, P.C. to guide our nonprofit's communication strategies. His dedication extends beyond his professional work to advocating for education, engaging in local politics, and supporting the Latino community's upliftment, embodying our mission to empower through effective outreach and advocacy.



Cindy Villanueva

Immediate Past President

Cindy Villanueva, serving as our board's past president, brings a wealth of experience from her tenure and we also benefit from her professional expertise as an Intellectual Property Partner at Dickinson Wright. Her deep knowledge in trademark and copyright law significantly enriches our board's strategies and decision-making. Cindy's commitment to Los Abogados shines through her ongoing guidance, leveraging her knowledge for the betterment of our mission and ensuring our actions align with our dedication to advancing the Latino legal community.
